Trees recovering from cyclone Yasi at Tully Heads near Tully in Far North Queensland, Australia. This was taken about 10 months after the cyclone.
This was one of the worst affected areas from cyclone Yasi.
People are rebuilding and life recovers and goes on.
The houses are built close to the beach and it is not hilly so they are exposed to whatever the ocean or weather throws at them. It is usually a tranquil spot and will undoubtedly continue to be. I have heard that the last time a cyclone the size of Yasi hit the area was about 100 years ago.
