This castle was built in the early part of the 20th century by a man who wanted to build a castle. It was used as a tourist attraction or theme park before WWII. I have photos my parents took of it in the 1940’s and did a painting based on a small black and white photo my mother took of the waterfall in 1949. This is the castle in 2011. It now has a caravan park attached to it. The waterfall is between the photographer and the castle and is not clearly featured in this image.
This is found at Mena Creek on the old road to Innisfail from Tully in Far North Qeensland, Australia.
I’m sure they have a web site if you want to know more about the castle and the park. I simply like the photo and recently went for a quick visit to see if it was still there.
