Plugged In

An old outlet from an abandon homestead. I wish everyone could see the interiors of these places, they are endlessly interesting and haunting. So many photographic opportunities.

Sorry for getting back to you so late – I just now realized how to actually ‘reply’ back to comments, instead of just adding a new comment on my own picture. :)

Well spotted….......you have a great eye for detail and an interesting gallery of work.
This shot is very well composed and the exposure is spot on.

Larry, I can’t get enough of shots like this. Love the composition, the lighting and narrow tonal range… the pastel colors work so well together and the crazy wiring job is insane. Probably still works perfectly if you fire up the generator!! Love it!

It was really surreal shooting this picture actually. Being out in the middle of nowhere, hearing the silence, its so strange being around these old abandon houses. I probably stood there for 20 minutes composing the shot. Something about the wiring that I couldn’t get away from. Thank you for the great comment.

Pink and grey. Excellent, and the wires make a cool pattern on their way around the shot. I love it. -J:
