somewhat stark, yet the figures make the image, great long framing

Thanks man! So glad you like it. What pleased me, is it came out of the camera as is, no post work at all. Yay! lol

love the minimal world you live in! Great shot!
Larry Stewart replied
Paul, your comment is so reaffirming to the style of photography that I love to shoot. The fact that you “get” the minimal approach I am trying to cultivate in my shots is very encouraging to me. Thank you!

Beautiful image. Great treatment.
Larry Stewart replied
What is crazy about this image is all I did is turn it black&white on my camera, there was no post work done on a computer. Its one of those rare images for me where it just came out as is. Thank you so much for your feedback.

good shot Larry! Cannon Beach is usually so crowded … never was there in winter … love the beaches after all the obnoxious tourists go home (not all tourists are obnoxious (grin)) ...
Larry Stewart replied
Hey Owlspook! I know, I am 8 days late on replying – Sorry!! My wife and I love Cannon Beach, but as you alluded to, it is getting really crowded. You should try visiting in November, because the tourists are gone (whats funny is I am tourist! lol), and the weather really isn’t so bad. I love storms coming off the ocean, so it doesn’t bother me not to have sunshine all the time. Thanks for the comment.
The InnerNorth...
very beautiful imagery
Larry Stewart replied
I was so lucky that day with the way the light came pouring through the clouds. To think that when I got out of the car, I wasn’t really planning to grab my camera (at first it was very cloudy), but then my wife was “Take it, you never know!” – and sure enough the clouds cleared away and I captured this scene. Thanks so much for the feedback I really do appreciate it.
owlspook
alas I wish I could .. I now live in the middle of nowhere wyoming (grin) ...
ah the winter storms … I too love the storms very much ..keep an eye out on my work .. I have more winter storm photos coming as the weeks go by (big smile) I’m sure you’ll enjoy them (smile)
