Oh steve, how beautiful this image is … wonderful gingerbread trimming on the porch … and how those pops of red rose and purple petunias add so much!!!! Love, lovely!!!!! There are a couple of architecture groups … and I wonder if cottage style might not like this one? OO and the fence group? If you need links, let me know!!!

Oh the days of verandas and rocking chairs. This has brought back many fond memories for me. You’ve captured my heart Steve with this GORGEOUS image…Jules

  • Thanks, Jules, I believe there is a rocking chair on the veranda, you can’t see it from this vantage point. I have other angles of this same house I will be posting soon so you can see the chair.

I like what you have done with this picture. Interesting architecture,
not victorian or colonial. Euro roots? Anyway very nice treatment.

  • Thanks, Maryann, to me it looks very colonial, maybe Georgian Colonial?

I guess the decorative trim has thrown me. I have never seen trim like that before
and the shutters are rounded at the top – sort of French. A rose by any other name…

  • Maybe Dutch Colonial?
