Another one taken along old Route 66 in Southern California near the almost non-existent town of Essex. So desolate, but beautiful in its own way. While photographing this place, I couldn’t help feeling a sense of sadness and nostalgia knowing that 40 years ago, this place was a thriving roadside restaurant/gas bar until they built the interstate hwy in the early 70’s. Couple of my own textures added, one solid fill layer, plus use of grunge brushes to simulate vintage scratches. Hope you enjoy this one.
