Breathtaking Image.Fantastic capture. I can see why they call it Dead Horse Point. Especially if they were travelling up. Was this once featured in a cowboy movie where they all rode down to get some treasure or something and then road back.?

Your work is fabulous, Steve. I have a shot from this place that I took in the early eighties. It’s nowhere near as richly colored as this one, but if you’d like to see it, it’s on Flickr:

Love the wide angle view. You’ve managead to fit heaps in & framed it really well. Its amazing to think how long that river has been flowing through there.

Stunning image Steve, this just really emphasises the vastness of this area – and makes me realise how insignificant we really are on the beautiful planet! The saturated colours, and the toning, you have captured here are just amazing! Did you scan your own transparencies? If so, any hints? I purchased a neg scanner a couple of years ago and just can’t seem to get it right! Mind you, I am scanning more negs than slides but again, any tips, much appreciated!
Fave by the way! Love it! :) Vicki
