Steven Pearce replied
Thanks Michael, I’m really loving your work of late would you like to trade locations for a few months?
chris Whitney
The color contrasts are striking and dynamic. Nice comp.
Steven Pearce replied
It was really fun to shoot, it had been raining the previous days as well as the night before so I knew that it would be there… 98% of the year its dry. I actually shot this while standing in the water up to my elbows with my tripod almost up to its head, this was really worth getting wet.
I dipped my trigger release into the water and it was the only casuality… tie them up!
chris Whitney
wow-your perseverance really paid off.

This is the best waterfall shot I have seen – and I have been looking for a very long time! The contrast here is amazing!
Steven Pearce replied
Hey Lukas, Cheers for the comments, I was pretty happy with this one I think mostly because its an uncluttered image… nice waterfall, orage rock and textures.

Chuck..
Steven Pearce replied
Thanks Chuck, It was full of people for about the first 10 minutes of shooting but it didn’t worry me as I just kept refining composition in that time. By the time they all walked on I knew what I wanted and this was one of the only photos I took with out people.

Great contrasts in this image Steve. Colour contrast and the contrast between the softness of the flowing water and the harshness of the rugged rock. Great composition. Beautiful work :)
Ken Fortie
Wow, great vantage point, great colour, great work.
Tony Middleton
It’s fantastic to see this actual spot with so much water flowing – I once sat on and around those little ledges for hours in the relative cool of the late afternoon. Most peaceful, as pretty much everyone only comes for 10minutes at the most. The colour and vibrancy of the geology is awesome !
cheers,
tone
