Uluru Dust Storm, 13 November 2008

Uluru Dust Storm, 13 November 2008

Strong southerly winds carry tonnes of sand hundred of kilometres from South Australia and deposit them into the Northern Territory. A scene with movement and drama this has to be one of my favourites from around the base. Shot at the entrance of the Mujutuulu waterhole on the southern side of Uluru.

    Thanks Ben,

I’m usually the last person to take my camera out when the dust in moving as even L lenses can fill up. I’m usually at this spot at the right time of day to grab decent shots but this day was too much not to get the camera out.
