Comic Cover of Detective #371 Jan 1967 by

I love this cover because it’s so descriptive of where DC Comics were in the mid/late 60’s. The rest of the world (including Marvel Comics) was discovering a growing awareness of feminism and its effects, but DC were still implying that female caped crusaders cared more about their attire than they did about fighting crime! The original cover artist must have been very old school! This took me one whole day to draw/colour and is my most comprehensive cover drawing to date.

My camera travels with me everywhere and I am always on the lookout for new and interesting shots. My one “claim to fame” is that I once got shortlisted on wikipedia’s “Picture Of The Day” contest.
One day, I’ll achieve that particular goal – in the meantime I’ll just keep snapping away. I’m 51 years old and live in the beautiful county of Worcestershire – home of the Cotswolds and many beautiful towns and villages.
