Love Led Them
Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens

This small bronze fountain figure of a Cupid (a young boy with bow and arrows and wings) on a marble plinth, is set in the central pond of the Pioneer Memorial Garden. Sculpted by Paul R. Montford (1868-1938), it marks the precise spot of the centre of the dome of the former Garden Palace which sadly burnt down in 1882, it stood for 3 years.
