the old keepers needed to keep warm by

The chimneys of the Keepers Cottages of the old Point Perpindicular Lighthouse near Currarong, NSW.

The cottages and the lighthouse are now decommissioned but still stand proudly as they have done since 1899.

There is a new solar powered light in operation on the point since 1993.

The views and bush walks around Currarong NSW are a wonderfully kept secret. Spectacular to say the least. On this particular day i saw, dolphins, echidnas, wallabies many bird species and some breath scenery that quite literally takes your breath away.

More to come.

yes it is a bit tucked away…I haven’t been there in all my east coast trips….and it hasn’t be subdivided and populated yet?

  • No, the area is still pretty much untouched, the only area with a boom is Culburra. There are so many great walks around that whole northern part of Jervis Bay. I always seem to find something new out there.
