This is one of the great big nuts & bolts that holds the mighty Sydney Harbour Bridge up.
I was asked not to take too many pictures of the bridges under bits by a nice security guard.
It seems there is still a bit of paranoia out there.
nut and bolts, nuts bolts
“I was asked not to take too many pictures of the bridges under bits by a nice security guard.”….whaaaaaaaat? That seems just slightly ridiculous, considering the number of people who walk across it/under it everyday. A tad overzealous I suspect.
A fabulous shot Steven! :)
It was a bit of overkill I thought but he was really nice about it. I had to laugh though because there I was with my camera taking a few close ups when someone a mile away with a rocket launcher could do more harm than little ol me with my camera, lol !
Look at all those wonderful shapes and textures – great.
It’s an amazing piece of metal, I often just stroll under it for no reason. xs

Great photo, Steve!
Thankyou Stephen, I appreciate the comment
It’s awesome isn’t it !
just a fabulous shot Steven, love stuff like this, don’t worry i was asked not to take photos in a shopping mall, more than once!!! seems a tad silly to me!!
Thanks Patricia. It doesnt really show the size of the thing but it’s huge.
I have taken a few architectural shots of late and will upload them soon but it can be a challenge with the fun police out and about !
Fantabulous shot Steven,everything so clean? I don’t think they are paranoid. I’ve heard some one up north Is planning to steal the said bridge,to make easier access to Fraser Island ;<}
I always thought the Story Bridge was upside down, lol. Maybe it could cross the seaway at the Gold Coast because I’d rather they leave Fraser alone !
Thank you for the feature, it is greatly appreciated. SG
