I loved this tree ( a morton bay fig) from the first time I saw it. I was with my parents who were on holidays and staying at my place on the Gold Coast. I went back a few weeks later to take a few night time shots of it with the sun silhouetted behind it. I had no idea there was a hole in the base of the tree trunk that the last rays of the setting sun would shine thru. It was a priviledge to see it. Sadly the tree has since been destroyed in a storm. The picture below is all that remains.
