Daniel Clarke

This my little buddy, Daniel Clarke. Daniel and his family are dear friends of mine.

Daniel has Athetoid Cerebral Palsy and his wheelchair serves no boundary for this young man who is determined to make a difference.

You may have seen him on TV. Daniel was promised money by the previous Australian Government ( a promise they couldn’t keep). The current Australian Government isn’t going to honour the other parties promises. That’s just the way it is.

Daniel could have taken his family to Disneyland as part of a “make a wish” foundation gift but instead he chose to try to save endangered Orangutans of Borneo & Sumatra instead.

Any money I make from this will be given %100 to Daniel. He is an everyday hero who just wants to make a difference.

I am not asking anyone to pass this on to anyone else but I wont say not to !

I am just doing what I can for this wonderful kid.

Thanks for dropping in and reading this.

Regards
Steven Guy

PS. I apologise for adding this every group I am a part of and will be removing it on Wednesday, Sydney time. I will then remove this entry from all groups, except where relevant. Thankyou, I hope you don’t mind my intrusion. One card purchase just might make a difference.

This is an amazing and poignant photograph of two different species forming the kind of bond and mutual understanding that I wish more people were capable of. What a special sensitive and kind child who understands the pain of disability and wants to do something active to help endangered species like this gorgeous Orangutan. I appreciate you sharing this very touching and inspiring photograph with our group.

Thankyou Julie. I am some what speachless !

This made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, I can’t stop smiling! I want to say well done to Daniel, and good luck, so please pass on my message :)

My cousin, who looks around the same age as Daniel, also has Cerebral Palsy (but Spastic rather than Athetoid). His name is Keiron and he too has a love and passion for animals- i think they’d get on well! Thank you for sharing this image! When i can, i will buy this card for Daniel’s cause! (I currently have no bank card as it was stolen, plus I’m a little skint at the mo after just graduating!...but I’ll favourite this and come back in a couple if weeks)

  • Steven Guy replied

I am definately going to pass on all messages of support to Daniel and please give your cousin a huge hug from me. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read it all and making a comment. Cheers Steve

I’m making an exception in this piece of work and accepting it into the group, it has no bearing on Big Cats, but the sentiment and situation behind this image is one I feel deserves special attention. I hope members of Big Cats don’t mind in this one case.

    Jon

  • Steven Guy replied

Thankyou Jon, I really appreciate this gesture. By saving the big orange apes that live in the top of tha canopy we also save all the creatures that live below on the forest floor including the endangered “clouded leopard” and many more. I hope the big cat members understand and dont get to upset.

Great photo. I was just in Sabah & Kuching so understand how precious it is to save these animals. The probiscus (big nose) monkey is also known only to these parts of the world and i think also endangered.

  • Steven Guy replied

Thanks Lois. There are so many creatures great and small that could be saved if we manage to save the the big orange guys that live in the canopy. It’s a long way from being solved but we are trying and Daniel is one determined young man. I really appreciate your comment and glad you dropped by.
