Amituofo
Mahayana Buddhist living in Eastern Asia (China & Taiwan) and some part of South East Asia (Malaysia & Singapore) will put their palm together & greet each other with the word of “Amituofo”, meaning unlimited wisdom & blessing. When we look at this beautiful lotus, you can see its petal join together just like a buddhist put their palm together and do the praying or greeting. Coincidently lotus is a significant flower in buddhism too. So it make this image even more special. Thanks for viewing.

Wah! You get blessed with unlimited wisdom and blessings from the lotus flower! Nice shop and composition. The green stub on top left looks like a green “moon” shining over the lotus.

G’day Steven,
You have made an extremely high quality study of this beautiful Lotus but I feel the slightly out of focus and isolated seedpod distracts from and denigrates the fine work you have done. If the resolution can handle it I strongly suggest you crop heavily to make the Lotus the full focal point of the image as it should well be.
So well lit/exposed/processed with a great focus and depth of field.
The contrast is very pleasing and the colours are rich and wonderful.

Unlike Dennis, I rather like the seedpod Steven. It’s almost as if the lotus (in light) is acknowledgeing the seedpod (in dark) .........beckoning it to come into the light…......the giver of new life. Well done mate.
