Ages Tree

I had spotted this beautiful tree in a foggy morning during my holiday at Genting Highland, Malaysia. Had converted to B&W so that it looks like a Chinese painting. Thanks for viewing.

Nice one Steven it does look a little bit ,like a Chinese painting !!!!!!!!! Have you try ‘inverting ’ the image and then some other adjustments ,contrast …. and see what happens ..!!!! in any case I LIKE IT AS ITIS TOO !!!

  • stevendesiow replied

Thanks for your suggestion. So sad to tell you that my PS knowkedge is very limited. Simply adjustment is ok. But the complicated one such as “inverting” don’t know where to find it.

    G’day Steven,

Dark and moody and with that superbly silhouetted sinuous tree trunk snaking its way across the scene, this B&W is a very striking misty photograph.
Only a good sharp focus can render such a clear, crisp silhouette and you have handled the exposure of the mist very well.
You have also done a very good job on the processing and created a dark, powerful image that even with its very limited contrast and tonal range works quite well.
I wonder if it would be even more powerful if you were to flip the image horizontally so the tree makes a strong left hand lead-in? (Just a thought).
    Very good work that man!
