Grandfather's House

This is the typical Malay house in Malaysia. I think this house used to be occupied by the rich family 50 years ago but pity it was beingdilapidated. Thanks for viewing.

Grandfather's House belongs to the following groups:

Amazing Asia, Architectural Photography, Dilapidated Buildings, My Neighborhood, Rusty, Crusty and Falling to Bits and Tropical Art

Neat looking house, I especially like the stairway into it. Amazing what was considered luxury would be considered a simple house now, at least here in the US where everyone wants to live like they’re rich.

What we call here in Oz a “do up”. Nice composition and framing.

Before I take up photography, I consider this kind of house is the eyesore for development. Now I love it. Philip, this is the only angle for this house because I don’t dare to go down as I worry the snake.

Thanks for the info. In Malaysia, we call it “Kampong” house. Kampong means countryside.

I love the composition. I think it could have been SLIGHTLY improved by dropping your tripod about a foot, as though we are “looking up” a bit. Love the natural framing done by the trees.
