Thanks very much Anuja, this was taken under one of the kilms at the old Brunswick Brickworks looking down its length from one end to the other this part remined me of catacombs which are in Europe cheers.

Steven, This capture looks really old…what in the world would one bake in here?
(I worked for Chicken-of-the-sea tuna for a short while, they had ovens for baking 40 tons of fish at once. Believe it or not, it actually smelled good!)

Hey there Bill Thanks this is ground level of a Kiln where bricks where fired fairly large and long area of a corridor with openings spaced out.

Thanks Sean, this is the lower level of the Kiln they placed raw or green bricks as they say to cook them, I dont know what all the doors along the length where for I presume for different batches of bricks each entrance was numbered on the outside .

hmmm, the first thing that comes to mind….is where does this lead…..and then a whole flurry of thoughts want to follow the initial musing…i do believe this could be a very contemplate work Steve…wonderful!!! you could certainly incorporate a quote too, down the bottom….at some later stage if you wanted (just a weird idea…ignore, ignore!) lol :)

Hi Di Thanks very much it is in Brunswick in Melbourne the area is fenced off for development and safety reasons but this does not deter people from entrering it that’s for sure.
