Industrial #1
The first in the next series of images are of Brunswick Brickworks in Melbourne as it is today established in 1884 site closed in 1993 most of the area around this famous site is a housing estate now with this small section untouched. The future is unknown at the moment but hopefully will remain and be restored and maybe transformed into a craftmarket and cafes, all images will mostly be in B/W and SC colouring and titled the same except for the numbers a first for me. Thanks for viewing and hope you enjoy them.

Industrial #1 belongs to the following groups:

Your a good man to choose this for a subject-we will loose our history if it isn’t photographed /documented!
-now we have the digital age and not boxes of negetives or pics in the hall cupboard to leave behind anymore…so GOOD ON YOU SIR!
AWESOME capture!

Steven Agius replied
Thanks alot Janice, yes your right there with this area the future is unknown the way it is going at the moment this could be pulled down due to it being unsafe, shame if this happens Brunswick area would lose a great part of its history.

A very sombre and haunting looking image…quite effective…but no frogs. lol >Ron<
Steven Agius replied
Thanks alot Ron, no frogs here and not much else either until they decide what to do with this area cheers.
Sean Jansen
Such a wonderful capture my friend….so you retired the fabulous froggies for a while lol. Well this is very outstanding and I love that smoke stack !!
Steven Agius
Thanks very much Sean, gave froggie a rest as well as my self hehe, there are three of these large smoke stacks in this area but very difficult to capture them altogether, there is another Kilm like this one along side off it as well the area they have left is fairly small and confined due it being fenced off cheers buddy.
Brandie1
Wonderful capture Steven.
I hope it is left standing & turned into a cafe Museum with the history of not just the brick works but of the area as well.
There will be nothing left of our past in 50 years at the rate the developers are going in what they call progress.
Progress Hum Bar.xx
Steven Agius replied
Thanks Laureen, yes it would be a shame if this goes there’s alot of history attached to this site at the moment there’s alot of red tape and the blame game between the council and developers since the estate around it was finished quiet a few years ago this part of the area has not been touched and it is deteriorating year by year and is becoming unsafe hopefully if sense prevails the project will be saved.
Rebeladdict
If they do end up transforming this into craftmarket and cafes I think your images of this series should definately be displayed prominently. Without a doubt!!
They are fantastic. :)
Steven Agius replied
Hi Rebel addict Thanks so much for the compliment if that was to happen that would be something, a dream come true so to speak cheers.
