This looks like a photo manipulation to me. the beetle isn’t casting a shadow and the background is so black.

Hi Cozza, no it’s not photo manipulation if so it would have been stated this image was captured with the sun from behind me also with the black background this has been cut out and filled like the rest of this series cheers.

how did it look with the background uncut? was that done for the series or because you didn’t like the backgrounds?

Hi Cozza, a bit of both the background had a brick and glass wall of a green house and the use of the dark background on the images tends to bring out more of what you have captured there arent any distractions, had this image was taken elsewhere with a bit of greener behind it and it looked good I probably would have left it as it was cheers.
