I love playing around on my typewriter. Most people don’t understand why I hold on to this ‘piece of crap’. I took these photographs to try to show others how I see it: beautiful romantic? functional of nostalgic value
This is a brilliant piece of graphic design Steve and would look stunning a wall canvas and I understand why you hold on to such things, because they are beautiful intimate crafted machines. I recently came across my grandfathers pocket kodak from 1909 and the intricacy, like your typwriter, is wonderful……
Thanks for your comments bej. Glad you appreciate the detail too.
love the way you put them, all together . . . my mother used to (and still does) bang away the the keys on hers . . . putting our family history together. oldskool!
Thanks – and good to hear they are still being appreciated.

Uh, Ja. I’d want to feel the keys impress my backside.

Back when tab really meant tab… nicely done
Cheers titus – I love the high contrast (black, white, red) of this typewriter – esp the TAB key.

Love the mix of images. Old typewriters are fantastic. Beauty and nostalgia for sure.
