Typography is what language looks like?

  • Steve Leadbeater replied

Yep. Glad you have bothered to look a little closer.

Beautifully executed, and all too true. Love the balance you’ve achieved through the larger letterforms and the use of the gradient.

  • Steve Leadbeater replied

Very perceptive of you to say. Plus I love upper ‘R’ and lower ‘g’ letterforms. Also ‘4’s but couldn’t work one in to this design.

very clever..I must admit it took me a while to get it which would make wearing this T interesting, oh and congrats on the home page

  • Steve Leadbeater replied

Thanks. I don’t mind the obscurity of the finished result. I want others to appreciate the typographic forms themselves. Initially I wasn’t going to have it say anything at all.

cool :) at first it seemed to just be random letters and then words started to appear in a succession of eureka lightbulb moments.

  • Steve Leadbeater replied

Thanks Dan. The wording was a secondary thing for this design. I initially wanted to just have the letters in the ‘model’ style plastic frame.

Fantastic work – Sat there for a few mins working out what it said.. then realised after i started to scroll down, that if i had scrolled down that tiny bit more than what i did… I could have just read Decibels comment instead and saved my precious few remaining cells a workout. =)

  • Steve Leadbeater replied

This work is about ‘getting it’ visually. The sentence is fairly secondary here. Thanks for checking out my stuff.
