I ReNted aN opiNion...
I read a powerful article in a magazine that really spoke to me. A few months later in a conversation I tried to pass off some of the thoughts from the article as my own observations. The person I was talking to had also read the article and picked me up on it (extremely humiliating).
That was many years ago. I can laugh about it now.

Soxy Fleming
your work is so good
Steve Leadbeater replied
I don’t know what to say to that (apart from thank you).
jemimalovesbigted
totally agree with Soxy! You are a master of word, colour, text, shape, composition! And this I love ♥
Steve Leadbeater replied
Wow, talk about a confidence boost – after spilling my embarrassing story for all to see. Can you do my PR work?
nofrillsart
Nice message. This would work as a tee too.
Steve Leadbeater replied
I would be too embarrassed to wear it

kreatory
Such a true statement. Nice treatment.
Steve Leadbeater replied
Hey thanks kreatory. It’s nice to have work speak using words instead of purely images.

Spikerama
Your description alone is good enough and then you have to go and sum it up perfectly with beautiful type and fantastic poem. Simply brilliant.
Kudos for having the guts to admit it too because I think we’re all guilty of that at some stage in our lives even if we may think we got away with it.
Steve Leadbeater replied
Great comment Spikerama. I love when my work makes a connection with others deeper than just an asethetic level.
sashe
Very nice! I like the statement and the colours are great together.
Steve Leadbeater replied
Thanks sashe. Glad you like it.

would you be able to put this on a shirt? I would love to take advantage of the 60 days free shipping from RB…. it might be too short a time for you to do it, but it would be a fabulous Easter present for myself =D
Steve Leadbeater replied
Thanks for you kind comments and interest. I have made a Tshirt version. I could not get the pink to reproduce in a satisfactory hue. I have made alterations (improvements) to make it work on a T. Please let me know what you think :)

We take one step closer to enlightenment when we own our failings. After all that’s the human condition. You have put yours out there so amazingly. As a very old typesetter (glass fonts) and a soul on the path to enlightenment, words are what get us there in the end. Beautiful art. xox jenb
Steve Leadbeater replied
Wow – I am struck by your comments. Rarely do viewers inspire me in return with their feedback. Thank you jenbaglin.
ayarti
this is excellent, hadn’t seen this one before. this has some pretty excellent use of colour, and i love your typography.
Steve Leadbeater replied
Thanks ayarti – I enjoy working with type (especially when it’s hand drawn).
mmargot
Thank you to Soxy : I am always afraid to say something prosaic when I am astounded. “Your work is so good.”
Steve Leadbeater replied
Thank you so much mmargot. I love feedback positive or negative. Yours has made my day.
