I’ve always wanted to get to that coastline… your photo really captures how incredibly dramatic it is. Hard to believe it is in Australia – looks like it could be somewhere like Easter Island or some other isolated island in the middle of the ocean.

It was a nice calm day too. Normally the weather is not very forgiving south of Tasmania and it is the cause of the dramatic coastline. The geology of Tasmania is very much different to the mainland and is mostly made up of Dolomite rock, which causes these pipe-like structures.

That’s a great shot Stephen. Beautiful part of the world. I’ve taken a few pics on an old film camera looking down towards Cape Raoul from the other direction. I love the perspective you have got with the different structures at eye level and then looking back up towards the hills.
