Golden Monkey
It was a nice experience to spend one hour with these little-known Golden Monkeys which are listed as “endangered” and are only found in the Virunga Conservation Area in Rwanda.
They share the lofty mountain forests with their great ape relatives, the Gorillas, and face some of the same threats. These include snares set for small antelopes, human encroachment, and people entering their habitat to collect wood.
