Antarctic Reflections
It is very hard to try to explain how incredible Antarctica is if you have not been lucky enough to travel there! For those of you who have, you know what I mean. For those that have not, I will (eventually) be adding more images to help you understand, as words are just not enough!
Let’s just say, I really really really wish I could go back (with a better camera and a longer lens)! :-)

When I was in Antarctica I mainly used a Sigma 170 – 500mm (and a 24 – 200), which was ok, but worked best at 400mm as 500mm is really pushing this lens (I think). I now use a Canon 100 – 400 IS L lens for most of my work. If you can afford it, this is a great lens! I also have a 1.4X converter to go with this lens, but would like to go for the Canon 500mm IS L some time too!

Oh wow – I took a one day trip which flew us over the Antarctic – I fear that may be as close as I get, but I still have goosebumps thinking about the scenery and the vastness. How stunning to have actually been at ground level. This is a magic photo. Looking forward to the rest!
