Lioness and Cubs

Lioness and Cubs

Not long before sunset we came across this lioness and cubs resting in the long grass. I got quite low to the ground for this to give the appearance of looking through the grass. I think it sort of works, but please let me know what you think (or would change)!

The perspective is quite good, it’d be good if the faces of the cobs was a little more visible.

Another Beautiful Photo! Love the veil of grass in front of the cubs, like another protective barrier besides Mom who is watching over them!

The trouble with lion images is that you see so many of them. This one however is something special. To begin with the composition is perfect but also the soft tones of the blurred grasses lend it an ethereal quality. Fabulous work! :-)

I, myself really like it… it shows how the mother is looking around to protect her young ones… love it.

What do mean “It sort of Works”? Of course it does. Damn. Great atmosphere. I can almost feel the cool air on the breeze.
