Silverback Mountain Gorilla

WILD AND FREE

To spend an hour with Mountain Gorillas is one of the best wildlife experiences you can ever hope for. They captivate you with their eyes and you become lost in the moment. Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more…

Unfortunately, Mountain Gorilla numbers are small, with only approximately 700 left in the wild. The primary threat comes from forest clearance and degradation, as the region’s growing human population struggles to eke out a living.

I am hopeful ways can be found to control these problems before it is too late.

(Virunga volcanoes – Rwanda)

Oh Steve, this is gorgeous, how lucky are you, I would so love to go and see them in the wild, it’s horrible how they are killed just for their hands for ornaments, I get really upset about these gorgeous creatures, they are so like us, fantastic capture.
