Polar bear mum and cubs just going with the floe!
The sea ice is shrinking at an alarming rate, which has a huge impact for the bears as this is their main hunting ground. More and more bears are being found to have drowned while trying to find the ice, even though they can swim up to sixty miles or so!
I hope the ice does not completely vanish and that they always have somewhere to hut!

Wow, Steve! You have outdone yourself here! This is incredible! I love the wide angle shot showing the ice. You definately get the idea seeing this. That’s a relatively small iceberg for such big bears, and all the other ones look like tiny ice cubes floating around. I love this!!!

Another excellent sumbission Steve. Polar Bears are the ultimate cool characters. They don’t show the struggle for survival in away that everyone can recognize. They just seem to power on to the end. It’s pictures like yours that can help make a difference though and show people the Polar Bears environment and what is happening to it! Great work Steve!
