Mountain Gorillas II
WILD AND FREE
To spend an hour with Mountain Gorillas is one of the best wildlife experiences you can ever hope for. They captivate you with their eyes and you become lost in the moment. Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting moreā¦
These gorillas were a few metres away but the soulful emotion between our glances was immense and also saddening. I hope these majestic apes are able to hold on.
There my be hope yet for the mountain gorilla as a recent WWF report states, please have a look at it HERE

Your photo goes to their soul.. I use to visit daily some in captivity in the Central Park Zoo many years ago when Zoo’s were not great places for any animal. The gorillas were the sadest, you could see how they hated their prision and the bordom they were forced to live in. Now even in the wild they are endangered. You would think humans would treat these creatures better as they are so much like us and our ancestors.

Wonderful Steve. My daughter was there in January, and had a similar exerience, and similar feelings as you did. What a shame that humans and wild nature cannot live in harmony. I hope there is solid reason for optimisim about their future.

The eyes are the windows to the soul. Some would argue the religion of this in a primate but you can see just in the picture the intelligence in the eyes. Wonderful image thank you for sharing.
