The Curve

The subtle mathematics of nature are frozen in stone at Antelope-Corkscrew Canyon, Page, Arizona.

Corkscrew Canyon is a slot canyon and was formed over many years as rushing water eroded the Navajo sandstone. The canyon was cut and scoured by water and wind and the striations of sandstone have become almost incandescent. This phenomenon has created “hollows” in the canyon and spectacular scenes as the light penetrates through the top of the cave. This photograph was taken in the middle of upper Antelope canyon as the sun’s light filled the cavern.

FANTASTIC!!! Nature and all the wonders … I just watched the BBC “Planet Earth” and was so intrigued, especially by the cave in the US (that I’m not remembering at the moment) that was eroded by sulfuric acid and created these AMAZING crystal formations … your portfolio is BRILLIANT!!!
