Mycena Epipterygia in the Franklin Forest, Tasmania
I live in the Northern Rivers of NSW and this is where much of my photography comes from, apart from the obvious like volcanoes. You can see more of my work at steveaxford.smugmug.com
really pretty. nicely spotted and captured.
they are looking like little lamps, wonderful shot!
No wonder they are so often associated with magic. Nice lighting and beautiful shot, Steve.
Beautiful image Steve, fantastic lighting!
Great lighting and colors bring this beauty all together! Great Job!!
great capture, great lighting and color
I really like the subject, lighting and exposure, angle of shot and great contrast and tones.I do feel though that the image is split in two by the wide gap between colonies to the point where there are really two photographs in this frame. Perhaps two judicsius crops would give you two very good studies of these attractive fungi.Apart from that, great work man!
Thanks Dennis. I do have detail shots of the groups, but I try very hard to get some good photos that show the fungi AND the forest. This wider view at least shows the forest to some extent which the narrow view does not. For myself, I prefer a slightly wider view again, but it doesn’t show up so well at this display size.
