Another Big Stare by stevealder

Portrait of a Tawny Frogmouth bird perched in a paper-bark tree. This unmoving stare is common with these birds, but generally they will turn away when approached and adopt a frozen and camouflaged posture. Imaged in suburbia at Mango Hill, Brisbane using a Panasonic FZ-18 camera at max zoom.

Fantastic work Steve , what an amazing bird!

  • Thanks for your comment Natalie. Yes, a somewhat unique type of bird and very hard to spot in a tree when
they adopt their camouflaged posture. Rgds, Steve
