Hi, I’m an ex long-term military (Air Force) photographic officer and also a Satellite Remote Sensing (Earth Imaging) specialist. So, after many, many years of technical photography, people management and space-based telescope imaging of the earth (and the tops of clouds) I now find myself picturing what’s happening under those never ending clouds.

Marie and I moved to Brisbane from Canberra in 2003 to be warmer and also to be closer to family, including three wonderful grandchildren. My photo passion is mainly nature-type photography, stunning landscapes, sunrises and sunsets and macros. I image just about anything that catches my eye. I use a Panasonic FZ-18 digicam. This camera has an x18 optical zoom which I find great for my nature work.

I became deeply involved with the early days of digital imaging in the late 1970s and for the past three decades have watched with much interest the transition and advances of this technology from military and scientific applications to the wider world-wide community.

Thank you for your interest in my images.
