Let The Wild Beast Pass

Lie still a little longer
And let the wild beast pass
For we will not be stronger
To feel the pain it has

We could have slumbered deeper
And never felt it crawl
Between these broken bodies
In this crypt it’s dining hall

Though now we are forsaken
And our spirits turned to ice
One day we’ll overcome it
If our courage pays the price

Let The Wild Beast Pass

Artist's Description

This poem is a little on the dark side. Probably I was scared by the monsters in Dr Who once too often!
