hiking can be dangerous and painful....
it was just another great weekend, unfortunately with a bad ending…
been hiking with my family yesterday and on the way back to the car I did something stupid – I twisted my ankle pretty bad.
went to the hospital right away and already brought some things, as i was sure that it’s going to be a longer stay – i was quite sure that all my side bands in the ankle were torn.
after some checks the doctor told me that the side bands weren’t torn, but pretty badly damaged….however, no surgery is necessary.
for now i got a plaster and i am not allowed to walk around.
on wednesday i have to go back to hospital and they’ll check again and if the ankle isn’t swollen anymore, i’ll get a splint, which i’ll have to wear for some weeks.
so right now i am really a sitting duck….

I’m so sorry Stefan and wish you a speedy recovery. It’s amazing how granted we take our human body, until something like this happens. Well, I guess it’s time to sit back and work some of your older photos already in your folders.
