My mom’s flowers
Photo made at my parents home –
Belgium, East Flanders
Both my parents, mom and dad, are fond of flowers. Dad is growing lots of flowers in his ‘wild flower garden’, and mom also loves to have them inside too, and used to make gorgeous flower arrangements. So whenever we go home, we’ll take some flowers or flowering plants along.
When we came home to visit my parents last week, apart from the usual lovely fresh flowers in the house, I also found a few bunches of fading flowers, that were put aside to be cleaned up.
But before doing so, I made use of the opportunity to photograph some of them in their (fading) beauty… – a photo session with some amazing results… :)
Last ode to the light : Fading orange day lilies , with their fragile beauty bringing a last ode to the light.
