The Russian tall ship frigate Shtandart – replica , ashore in the harbour of Amsterdam, the wooden hull and masts shining in the early morning sun. It’s still quiet now, while the crew is getting ready for today’s visiting crowds.

    I’m fairly new here mysel but I can’t see any reason why not so long as we can see it os on or part of a traditional wooden boat, if unsure submit anyway because the worst that can happen is we say no and then you will know for another time, nothing ventured etc!

    I took a few photos of this ship at the 2005 Tall Ships Race on the Tyne at Newcastle but didn’t get a front view like this so into faves
