I had a long hike through the frozen polders and parklands from Breukelen, yesterday. Goodness, it was sooo cold and grumpy clouded.
Some of the shots I made make up for the exercise, though.
There were actually hundreds and hundreds of geese in the area – I only succeeded in a few reasonable shots though – the one moment they were peacefully grazing, the next they were alarmed and flew up in large numbers, while the sky filled with they loud babbling.
And they always made sure to keep a safe distance from me and my camera LOL . These two were quietly walking on, as they saw me come… into the white wide world… :)
(I was not the only one walking around with camera or binoculars there… birdwatchers all over the place :D )

At first glance, thought they were ducks…not quite sure of your location, but a nice show scene, sounds like you had fun.
Geese have flown over, and been a problem at neighboring pond at a 4 star hotel in the Smoky Mountains of TN. And I had some ducks come visit me, and loved it so much, I bought me some.
Aww, how nice… are you keeping them at home now? – Yes, these geese are behaving a little like ducks at the moment of the shot LOL – I’m in the Netherlands, and there are plenty of geese every winter in the polder… The farmers also don’t like them all that much – but I guess, one becomes used to them… I still enjoy it every time when I get the opportunity to observe and photograph them :) – Big thanks for your visit and kind comments, Jeffee!
