Playing with autumn leaves or…?

…or has this clever Japanese Macaque ( wikipedia ) spotted something more interesting floating on the water?
If you’re a little clever and handy, the main thing is to concentrate and persevere…

The Japanese Macaque (Macaca fuscata), also known as the Snow Monkey, is a terrestrial Old World monkey species native to Japan, although an introduced free-ranging population has been living near Laredo, Texas since 1972. It is the most northern-living as well as the most polar-living non-human primate. It is a very intelligent species. It is the only animal other than humans and raccoons that is known to wash its food before eating it. (source: wikipedia )

Conservation status
the Japanese Macaque is on the IUCN list of endangered species (link ) , status ‘Least Concern’

Spelen met herfst bladeren of… ?
