Meadow Buttercup ( Wikipedia) – Close up.
the Netherlands

It’s the end of summer here, and autumn is already in the air, so these are the last buttercups this year. But as promised, I’d try to get them close-up at the first occasion… : D
They were swaying and dancing in the wind.

Dedicated to my friend Joy, aka Bubbleblue , because of the special childhood memories shared here

As I always say about Flower Photography – the next level – is DOF. To have the out of focus flower in the background – this enhances the main subject at the front and makes it more 3D. Lovely bokeh – as a friend of mine always says.
Focus, lighting, DOF – all perfect here.

  • Thanks so much, Paul! This one really was a challenge: it was really windy that day, and the flowers were literally dancing – It took a long wait, and a lot of spoiled (completely out of focus) shots, to get one right – Once more: big thanks for your comments, they mean a lot!
