Psyche Bend Lagoon: salt encrusted tyre tracks
Psyche Bend Lagoon is a former irrigation drainage disposal basin of 22 ha
located near the southern end of Kings Billabong, near Mildura. Irrigation drainage
discharge ended in 1996 when a new drain allowed drainage water to bypass
the lagoon. The lagoon and approximately 110 ha of surrounding vegetation
has been severely affected by saline drainage water and shallow saline
groundwater.
