Hey Kathleen, I don’t know Kim except from her beautiful photography here on Redbubble. To be compared to her is quite the compliment, ‘cause I really love her work! So thanks a bunch:) This shot was taken in a derelict ballroom that I discovered about a year ago; I had to clamber through all these crazy brown and orange ‘70s extensions before finding this beautiful whale’s belly of a ballroom, with art deco walls, old leather theatre seats and a charred stage. Heartbreakingly (but of course) it’s since been boarded up and is being turned into apartments. Boo.
