Year of the Ox (for dark shirts) by

The Year of the Ox is part of a series of the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. In the foreground is the Chinese character for the Ox.

This artwork is for dark colored shirts; for stickers and lighter-colored shirts try this version instead.

Ox people are said to be dependable, hard-working, modest, and tenacious. You are probably and Ox if you were born in 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, 1961, 1949, 1937, or 1925, but double-check the exact dates if your birthday is in mid-January to mid-February because the Lunar New Year is on a different date each year. Wikipedia’s Chinese Zodiac page is a good starting point for more information about all of the signs and their meanings.

The Year of the Ox was drawn with a Pitt Brush pen and Pigma Microns on 100lb smooth finish bristol board, 11×14 inches and colored digitally. Copyright 2009 Stephanie Smith.
