Dragon of Autumn
Dragon of Autumn is the first in a new series of work. Drawing dragons again makes me happy. :)
Autumn makes me happy too… I love the crisp air and the smell of the leaves turning and the brisk refreshing breezes after the hot funk of summer. It’s a very joyful time of year to me, so I drew a joyful dragon. (Sometimes I still can’t help myself from playing in the leaves, too…)
Dragon of Autumn is an ink drawing on bristol paper with digital color added in Photoshop. I’ve posted a step-by-step look at how this image was made on my blog for those who are curious.

Thank you! (Tho right now I suspect that one of the reasons I enjoy drawing dragons so much is that I don’t have to do a ton of image ref. research for them, LOL)

Really great dragon, and the how to is very helpful. Like my sister my daughter is now fascinated with drawing dragons. I will show her your instructions.

Thanks! The great thing about dragons (well, all art, but dragons in particular) is that there’s really no wrong way to do it. Hope your daughter has fun with it!
