I try to capture just enough to show what I see and feel in the subject, and to capture the light. ...Whenever possible I aslo try to paint without a sketch, or very little at all…I find the end result much fresher and less restricting..

Thank you so much Denise… and yes of course you can. Try not drawing first, more water, and hide those small brushes.., look at the shapes of colour, and lights and darks. Have fun with it, think of it as practice so you don’t feel the pressure to produce a finished painting ….. Just little sketches each day and you’ll soon see the difference…
