Yeah, the good ol’fashioned “Hills Hoist”. Who hasn’t got one of these in the backyard? Not a modernised version with bright green metal and plastic parts, but an old steel one with a rubber-grip handle!

    Totally Agree KathyT. We have a new green hills hoist somewhere amongst the brown-cooch-grass of our backyard. It rarely gets used!
    Whereas this old metal contraption brings back memories for every Australian child, either of swinging from the ends like superman, or a dog jumping to bring down grandpa’s thunder-pants!
