The Millenium Falcon Hits Light Speed!

Despite the eerie effect of interstellar high-speed flying, this is an Australian native plant known as a Yakka bush.
...
Shot at waist level, staring into a perfectly spherical yakka, this can hurt the eyes: Walking into these long thin green blades would do severe retina damage.
...
Probably the same effect as “going to light-speed” into the sun.

#NOTE:#

Known as Xanthorrhoea priessii, the Yakka plant is a grass-tree, also spelled yacka. To engage in Hard Yakka is a common phrase in the Australian lexicon. One of Australia’s most well-known brands of work clothing is entitled Hard Yakka.

Thanks for the compliment Craig! Yeah, these are an amazing plant.

Haha, the apology was more of jab at myself. It was the first though I had when I looked through the view-finder before I took the shot!

Pure Op Art! I like this. I don’t know how many people have commented, but your titles are very witty :)

Thank you Dave! I like to give titles that best match the ‘image’ I see. That way people can understand my thought process, thus seeing the way I see. This method seems to be working!

LOL, great sense of humor. Your angle of attack on this photo is perfect.

One of my friends calls this one “Nature’s Deathstar”
