    wow this is amazing. did you use a macro lens for this? i love the soft effect on the edges of the petals, its almost ethereal.

    Hello again Drew, you must be having fun going through all my flower photographs! Glad to hear you are enjoying them, I welcome anyone everyone’s constructive criticism or open compliments on any of them.

    Yes, a macro lens was used. I would have been less than a few centimetres, on manual focus, adjusting to the light available (...because there is no flash, I’m totally relying on the morning light going through all the flowers)

    Hello and Thank you Steve. Yes, DOF is certainly fun to achieve with a good macro lens and a nice flower. But these flowers have all since died … so I am always on the hunt for suitable flowers for similar shots!
